TECHNICAL
REQUIREMENTS
Operating System Clients require Windows
2003, 2008, XP Professional SP3, Vista Business or Vista Ultimate,
and Windows 7. The database server can use any operating system.
The Web server requires Windows 2003 or 2008, or Fedora 10.
Software Requirements
The Data Base Server can use Sybase IQ 12, Sybase ASE 15, Sybase SQL Anywhere Studio 10, MS-SQL Server 2000, 2005
and 2008; Oracle 8i, 9i and 10g; DB2-UDB 7X and 8X, PostgreSQL 7.2, Progress 9.1b and MySql 5.
The Web Server can use IBM HTTP Server (Apache2), Oracle HTTP Server (Apache2), Apache2 HTTP Server, Sun
Oracle GlassFish 2, Sybase EAServer 6.2, Microsoft IIE 5.
The Application Server can use J2EE-compliant software (for version 1.3) such as
IBM Websphere, Oracle IAS (Orion), Oracle Application
Server, TomCat.
Browsers used for Web-based Report Viewing are Microsoft Internet Explorer
6 and 7, Mozilla FireFox 2 or superior, Apple Safari 3.0,
Google Chrome 1.0, Opera 9.5.
Hardware Requirements The user requires, depending on the model’s size and complexity, from 512MB up to 2 GB RAM, Pentium IV or Xeon processor with 2.8 GH, SCSI configuration (for complex models); 60 MB disk space for installation, from 1 GB up to 4GB disk space for execution; access to a CD-ROM. The Visualization and Reporting client version requires Pentium III processor or higher; 512MB RAM; 60MB disk space for installation, 200MB disk space for execution, with access to a CD-ROM.
The Web Server requires Pentium IV or Xeon processor with 2.8 GH, SCSI configuration; 2GB RAM; 40MB disk space for installation, 200MB disk space for execution, with access to a CD-ROM..
Networking Requirements The LAN for client-server architecture requires a speed of 100Mbps.
