This cube is “dynamic”, meaning that is calculated “on the fly”, right in the moment when you fire the query. The system will search for all the open bill that have pending payments and will calculate the age comparing each bill payment’s due date to your computers date.
The Aging dimension is organized in “Current”, “1-30”, “31-60”,”61-90” and “>90” days and can be used in charts of graphics combined with any other variable in the cube, opening many possibilities for reporting an analysis. For example, you can create in seconds a stacked bar of item type by age next to a pie by vendor type and pivot this by different states. Amazing, isn’t it?
In total this cube has 9 dimensions, built gathering information from the vendor and items lists and from bill, item receipts and bill payment check from QuickBooks®.
